Forward Counseling Care by Hoyleton

Human Trafficking Support

A program dedicated to healing and loving oneself.

Healing and Loving Oneself (HALO) is an innovative program that provides resources, counseling and mentoring to high risk youth and young adults age 11 to 25. Youth are at-risk or confirmed survivors of human trafficking and sexual explotation. Our work focuses on teaching the coping mechanisms and life-skills needed for healthy recovery.

Individualized and Community-Based Care

HALO is designed to work with youth in two ways: one-on-one or in a community.

For community work, our team serves high-risk communities where youth are especially vulnerable to exploitation due to histories of trauma, environmental factors, and systemic issues. Interactions take place at schools or community centers.

HALO is available in St. Clair and Madison County.

Preparing people to recognize trafficking situations.

We offer community groups and organizations a trafficking prevention course that focuses on recognizing and helping at-risk youth or survivors of labor and sexual exploitation. Trainings cost $75 an hour and can be customized to meet the needs of the group.
